Appeal after attempted robbery at Stourbridge service station

Police have issued an appeal after an attempted robbery at a Black Country service station.

Detectives are investigating the incident at Pedmore Service Station, in Gauden Road, Stourbridge, on December 20.

The thief attempted to steal the till at around 6.30pm – but left empty-handed.

West Midlands Police have now released CCTV footage of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the attempted robbery.

A spokesman for the force said: "We’d like to speak to this man about an attempted robbery at Pedmore Service Station in Gauden Road, Stourbridge.

"Nothing was stolen from the store, but there was an attempt to take the till."

Anyone who recognises the man can call officers on 101 quoting incident reference number 20DY/12428P/19.

Alternatively, information can be passed on anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
