Teen in court on drugs charges

A teenager is due to appear in court after being charged with possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply in Staffordshire.

The news comes after Staffordshire Police found and seized around £2,100 worth of heroin and crack cocaine from a property in Somerset Road, Highfields, yesterday.

A spokeswoman for Staffordshire Police said: "A 17-year-old boy from Newcastle-under-Lyme has been charged with two counts of possession with intent to supply a control drug of Class A.

"He was due to appear in court today."
