The huge haul of 65 cannabis plants filled nine large bin bags and is believed to be worth more than £2,500.

Officers raided the property just before 3pm on Monday, and West Midlands police confirmed that one man was arrested at the time.

The property sits just north of West Park, less than two miles outside of the city centre and only one mile from Molineux stadium.

Nine bags of cannabis was seized in total

A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: "Police were alerted to a suspected cannabis factory in a property on Craddock Street, Whitmore Reans by a member of the public just before 3pm on Monday January 7.

"Following a visit to the house more than 65 cannabis plants were found and a 27-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis.

"He has since been released under investigation while enquiries continue."
