Jewellery stolen from house during break-in in Halesowen

A thief has stolen jewellery during a burglary at a home in Halesowen.

The unknown perpetrator forced their way in the property in Bromsgrove Road, in Hunnington, on January 2.

It is reported that a quantity of gold, silver and pearl jewellery including a gold and black signet ring, bracelet and Pandora charm bracelets were stolen from inside the house.

No one was hurt during the break-in, which is believed to have taken place between 1pm and 5.45pm.

PC Calista Crosfield, investigating officer from West Mercia Police, said: "A home has been broken into and jewellery taken from within, thankfully no one was hurt during the incident.

"We are seeking the public's help to find the jewellery and those responsible.

"We are appealing for any information relating to the whereabouts of the jewellery, if local residents have been offered jewellery for sale in unusual circumstances as well as if anyone witnessed any suspicious behaviour in Bromsgrove Road, Hunnington, Halesowen, on January 2.

"In the meantime our officers will continue to work in local communities where family gold is targeted and offer crime prevention advice to those who might fall victim to this type of crime."

Anyone with information about the break-in is asked to call West Mercia Police on 101, quoting incident number 0477S of January 2.
