Boy, 14, arrested and knife seized after police coffee break at McDonald's

A teenager has been arrested after police seized a knife after trouble at Willenhall's McDonald's.

The knife was seized by police at Willenhall's McDonald's.

The 14-year-old boy was detained at the fast food restaurant in Crescent Road on Friday.

The weapon was found during a misuse of drugs search.

He is also charged with obstructing a police officer.

No one was injured in the incident.

Police in Walsall tweeted to say an officer had stopped for a coffee at the McDonald's when they made an arrest.

A West Midlands Police Spokesman said: "A 14-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon and obstructing a police officer in the course of his duty at McDonald's, Willenhall, on Friday, during a misuse of drugs search.

"He has been released under investigation."
