Officers have served a closure notice on the private rental property in Old Road, Stone, after the three-month closure was granted by magistrates in Cannock yesterday.

PC Mark Lyon said: "This area is home to a close knit community including many young families with children, and the anti-social behaviour and criminal activity taking place at this address was having a negative impact on the other residents’ quality of life.

“We’d like to thank the local community for their patience and co-operation during this process and offer reassurances that this type of behaviour will not be tolerated. We will continue to use anti-social behaviour legislation to close properties and remove nuisance tenants.”

If you are experiencing anti-social behaviour where you live, call Staffordshire Police on 101.
