Mercedes stolen from country park as man takes dog for a walk

A car was stolen at a country park near Bridgnorth while its owner walked his dog.

The man took his dog to the Stanmore Country Park near Bridgnorth in a black Mercedes CLK280 convertible on Thursday morning and after a walk around the park returned to find the car missing.

The car was taken between 10am and 10.30am, and the last three letters of its registration are OZM.

A statement from Bridgnorth police said: "The owner has reported that there were other vehicles in the car park at the time, so there are potentially witnesses who may have seen something.

"If you were in the car park on the morning of November 8, and believe you have any information regarding the theft, or who may have information regarding the identity of those involved, please call 101 and refer to incident 0258S."
