Teenagers arrested after taxi robberies in Dudley and Sandwell

Four teenagers have been arrested following a series of robberies on taxi drivers in Dudley and Sandwell.

West Midlands Police are investigating the five robberies and three attempted robberies – which have all taken place all took place in 48 hours between Wednesday and Friday.

Drivers in the Dudley and Sandwell areas have been attacked and also had money stolen.

A boy, aged 15, has been arrested on suspicion of attempted robbery. While a 17-year-old boy and two girls, aged 16 and 17-years-old, have all been arrested on suspicion of robbery.

They were arrested on Friday morning and were still in police custody yesterday afternoon(12).

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "Investigations remain on going and we urge anyone with any information to contact us."
