Teenager stabbed in daylight attack in Tipton street

A teenager was stabbed in a daylight attack after trouble flared in a Tipton street.

The 18-year-old victim was today recovering at home after the violent ordeal.

Emergency services were called to the scene outside a hairdressers in Park Lane East, Dudley Port, on Tuesday afternoon.

Police arrived at around 3pm after reports of a man being found with stab wounds.

One ambulance and paramedic officer attended and treated the man at the scene, before he was taken to hospital.

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "An 18-year-old was taken to hospital to be treated for his injuries, which are not believed to be life changing, he is now at home recovering.

"Investigations are still on going to establish the circumstances around the attack."
