Second man charged with hit-and-run murder of pedestrian in West Bromwich

A second man has been charged with murder after a pedestrian died after being hit by a car in West Bromwich.

Victim Mohammed Miah is believed to have been dragged by a car in the High Street in the early hours of Saturday.

And today West Midlands Police charged a second man with the murder of the 22-year-old.

Hardeep Singh Bagdi, aged 42 and of Wareing Drive, Erdington, will appear at Birmingham Magistrates' Court tomorrow.

Earlier in the week Paul Emmerson, aged 38 and of Kemp Road, Kitts Green, appeared in court charged with the murder of Mr Miah and was remanded in custody to appear before Birmingham Crown Court on April 7.

Mr Miah died soon after the incident in High Street, West Bromwich, which happened at around 2.40am.

The road was cordoned off for more than 12 hours while forensic officers carried out an extensive examination of the area.
