Officers seize cash, drugs and knife off suspected dealers

Two 24-year-old men were collared as officers seized drugs, a lock knife and almost £3,000 in cash.

West Midlands Police officers arrested the two men in Freeth Street, Oldbury, after they found the contraband.

A vehicle was seized and one of the men was arrested on suspicion of drugs offences.

The other man arrested on suspicion of money laundering, drugs offences and possession of a prohibited weapon.

Both have since been released under investigation.

Pictures of the drugs posted by Oldbury Police show wraps of white powder tucked into a small yellow container and a large quantity of brown powder wrapped in blue plastic.

A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: "Officers arrested two men in Freeth Street, Oldbury, at just after 3pm on 16 March.

"A 24 year-old man was arrested on suspicion of drugs offences and released under investigation.

"A second man, also aged 24, was arrested on suspicion of money laundering, drugs offences and possession of a prohibited weapon. He has also been released under investigation."
