Bond Wolfe Auctions is based in newly-refurbished offices on Colmore Row, Birmingham with further offices in West Bromwich and Wolverhampton.

The team behind the new business is led by chief executive Gurpreet Bassi and managing director Ian Tudor, who until recently were the heads of residential and commercial auctions respectively at the Bigwood auctions business.

Bond Wolfe Auctions will be selling a wide variety of residential, commercial, mixed use properties and land throughout the UK in its first auction at Villa Park on Wednesday, March 13.

Mr Bassi said: “We will hold six auctions in our first year and we are looking forward to a strong start in March when we hold our first auction of 2019.

“Our award winning and record-breaking team have over 200 years’ experience of the property auction sector and our track record together with our established business network is unrivalled. We are delighted to have an opportunity to create such a vibrant business from day one.

“We are going to be a national auctions business, although two of our core areas will be the West and East Midlands regions.”

Mr Bassi and Mr Tudor previously formed the backbone of the Bigwood auctions business, and the majority of the new Bond Wolfe Auctions team were formerly responsible for delivering the Midlands largest ever auction in May 2018, which saw 172 lots go under the hammer.

2018 was a momentous year for Mr Bassi and his colleagues. In March, he was named young business professional of the year in The Signature Awards, which highlight executives who are helping to drive the regional business agenda forward.

He was also shortlisted for Birmingham young professional of the year in the property and construction category.

Mr Tudor said: “With our ‘traditional values, modern solutions’ approach, we are delighted to be able to offer our clients, old and new, highly professional, focused and bespoke auction advice whatever their asset.

“Auctions have traditionally been seen as the preserve of largely residential property, but in recent years we have witnessed commercial property really making its presence felt in the auction room and I am looking forward to helping businesses, corporate, public sector and private clients make the most of their real estate interests.

“We are confident that offering such a diverse range of properties both locally and nationally from such a central and accessible location will have a real appeal to both vendors and purchasers.”

Bond Wolfe Auctions will have 15 members of staff by the end of March.
