Wakemans is on track at Prime Point

Property and construction consultancy Wakemans is well underway with works at Prime Point, LCP’s multi-million pound speculative industrial development in Kingswinford.

National property and construction consultancy Wakemans is well underway with works at Prime Point.

Wakemans is providing employer’s agent, quantity surveying and health and safety consultancy services on the scheme, which involves the redevelopment of the old coal yard at LCP’s flagship Pensnett Estate in the West Midlands.

To date three of the buildings have been handed over and construction of the final units are currently underway. The completed industrial/warehouse units are of steel portal frame construction and range in size from 10,000-40,000 sq. ft. (929-3,716 sq. m.).

Wakemans director Seinde Balogun said: “Prime Point offers quality commercial accommodation for a wide range of manufacturing, services and distribution businesses and we’re delighted to be supporting LCP with this important new development at one of Europe’s largest secure business estates.”

Contractors are on site with Buildings 3, a 40,000 sq. ft. (3,716 sq. m.) industrial unit and Building 4, which is on schedule for completion by the end of the year.

Prime Point’s Building 1, which offers up to 20,000 sq. ft. (1,858 sq. m.) of space, was completed ahead of schedule and is available for occupation. The adjoining Building 2 was left as a shell unit of 30,000 sq. ft. (2,787 sq. m.) and will be fitted out to meet the specific requirements of incoming tenant Really Useful Products. Building 5 offers industrial/ warehouse space of 20,000-40,000 sq. ft. (1,858-3,716 sq. m.).

Supported by the Black Country Local Enterprise Partnership, Prime Point is located within Dudley’s Business and Innovation Enterprise zone.
