They have been introduced at the Yorkshire factory of the largest global manufacturer of fleet and equipment options to fire and rescue services.

Rosenbauer UK’s Holmfirth premises has taken delivery of a set of T8DC cable-free mobile column lifts from the Halesowen company, which are being supplemented by the large wheel bump plates to enable the lifting of a variety of specialist vehicles, including the new Panther airport fire engine.

“We enjoy an enviable reputation in the industry as the premier manufacturer of fire and rescue vehicles, but this counts for very little if not underpinned by our high-quality service offering,” said Thomas Gosney, service coordinator at Rosenbauer UK.

“By introducing TotalKare’s mobile column lifts, our service operatives can be more productive, resulting in even better service to our customers. We were especially impressed with the T8DC because of the ability to set a height limit, which was important due to limitations in our workshop.”

Rosenbauer’s UK division delivers a range of fire service trucks and equipment backed up by its service team.

The company has agreed a comprehensive AfterKare package with TotalKare, which includes regular servicing and 'reports of thorough examination'.

“It’s a pleasure to have provided our market-leading mobile column lifts, and even more so when it means we are indirectly helping to save lives,” said Jack Longstaff, area sales manager for TotalKare.

“We look forward to developing a long-standing relationship with Rosenbauer UK for years to come.”

Earlier this year, TotalKare was purchased by a team led by ‘lifting’ specialist David Hall, existing chairman Mike Lord and fellow directors James Radford and Peter Geobey.

The deal gives the company the ideal opportunity to build on a record year that saw it boost turnover by £300,000, with the emphasis on making the most of the roll-out of the new fixed two and four-post lifts and the launch of an online training platform to improve efficiency and health and safety in the sector.
