The event on Tuesday, June 25, at 1pm is organised by the Birmingham China Business Forum which promotes business and greater understanding between the people and businesses of the West Midlands and China.

Roads to China at Aston Business School will also include speeches by Liam Byrne, former Labour Minister and Beverley Nielsen, a former Liberal Democrat candidate to be Mayor of the West Midlands

The event will also include breakout sessions for built environment, creative industries and tourism, education, food and beverages and manufacturing and technology.

“I am delighted that Andy Street has given the Forum his support to enable us to put this conference together and that he will open the event, which we hope will be a first step to a more detailed and focused China strategy for the West Midlands,” said Zo Hoida, president of the Birmingham China Business Forum and a partner at the Birmingham office of law firm Browne Jacobson.

“It is time to grasp the opportunity and this event is a free open forum for all businesses and stakeholders to come together and input their views.”
