The seminar will provide an update on the latest financial accounting developments, and will also meet the continuing professional development needs of accountants working outside the profession.

The event will be held at West Bromwich Albion's Hawthorns ground on May 7.

Topics to be covered include an update on key developments whether reporting under IFRS or UKGAAP, the end of the FRC and the future of financial regulation and the financial reporting issues of Brexit.

Rob Gunn, tax partner at Crowe’s Midlands office in Oldbury, said: “This will be an excellent event for those working in finance related roles who need to keep abreast of current financial reporting standards and practices.

“Those attending will gain an understanding of why IFRS changes have been made and how often future changes to UK GAAP are expected, helping them put preparations in place for applying the new rules.

“Importantly, we will explain what the annual report, including the financial statements, must contain, and help identify which version of the accounts for Companies House is most appropriate.”

There is no cost to attend this event which takes place from 9am to 1:30pm. Those interested in attending should contact Nathan Sanghera on 0121 453 1900.
