Online gaming business to recruit 150
A fast-growing online gaming business is to take on an extra 150 staff in the next year.
Intouch Games, based at Fountain House, Great Cornbow, Halesowen, already employs 220 and needs more games developers, testers and artists to keep pace with planned growth.
The company, which started out in Stourbridge in 2001 as a slot machine and jukebox manufacturer in 2001, has recruited 120 since moving to its current premises two-and-a-half years ago.
It has just invested in a new canteen and gym for its headquarters and state-of-the-art studio.
Head of recruitment Matt Evans said the new positions were needed over the next six to 12 months and also included web developers, customer service staff, human resources positions, data analysts, accountants digital designers, project managers and software developers.
Intouch has four igaming and bingo brands in mFortune, PocketWin, Mr Spin and Dr Slot.
It is expanding into international markets, including the European gaming market, and has unused office space to accommodate the new recruits at Fountain House.
Mr Evans said: “Our ongoing success comes from our ability to cover everything in-house, while constantly adapting to the challenges and opportunities our industry offers.
“We have continually invested in the local Black Country area and ensured that our unique people-focused culture is at the forefront of everything we do – regardless of how much we grow and develop our digital capabilities."
The company, which recruited 39 in the six weeks to the start of May, has more than two million players across its brands and supports a number of charities in the West Midlands, nationally and internationally.
