Omar Ramzan faced two counts of murder relating to the deaths of Khuzaimah Douglas, aged 19, and 36-year-old Waseem Ramzan following an alleged cannabis factory robbery in Pensnett Road, Brierley Hill, on February 20.

Omar Ramzan, 23, and his father Saghawat Ramzan, 46, both of Pensnett Road, have been charged with two counts of murder.

At a hearing at Wolverhampton Crown Court on Friday, Mr Tom Walkling, prosecuting barrister, said: "Omar Ramzan is charged with identical terms has his father Saghawat Ramzan with two offences of murder.

"His father appeared on Wednesday and a plea and case management hearing is set for March 26th."

Mr Walkling added that the case was subject to ongoing police inquiries.

The 23-year-old was remanded in custody until March 26 .

Mr Douglas, of Moseley, Birmingham, was found in nearby Wilson Road where he was pronounced dead.

Waseem Ramzan, of Pensnett Road, died in hospital.

It was initially believed the men had been stabbed to death but a police mortem revealed their wounds were caused by a crossbow.

Mr Ramzan's burial was held on Thursday at Clee Road Cemetery in Dudley.

Micah Evans, 19, of Drummond Street, in Lye, has appeared at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court charged with conspiracy to rob, conspiracy to burgle and perverting the course of justice in relation to the same incident.
