Images show daily life of RAF Cosford photographer overseas

From serene wildlife in their natural habitat to action shots and broken down machinery, RAF photographers capture it all.

Images taken by Sergeant Paul Oldfield, head of the photographic team at Cosford, have been shared on social media as he serves in the Falklands Islands.

RAF Cosford is home to the Defence School of Photography.

RAF Cosford Squadron Leader Chris Wilson said: "Every RAF has an RAF photographer, it's their job to capture images and video of a wide range of subjects.

"Sgt Oldfield is currently based in the Falklands Islands acting as the photographer.

"While there he will cover a range of duties that are required and spend time capturing photos.

"The public won't see the full range of his work, as they take action shots and photograph machinery so they can get close images of an issue might be and work out how to resolve it.

"They're also just very very good photographers, we can get them to take great pictures of anything.

"There was a photo that came out just prior to the air show of two Typhoon jets in the skies which Paul took and it was used by the national media."
