This stunning picture is one of the latest entrants in the Express & Star’s Star Witness photographic gallery.

More than 3,500 people are now following the gallery online at instagram.com/expressandstar

The collection of images from across the Black Country and Staffordshire is growing fast since it was launched in February.

It is a permanent record of the landscapes and people that make our region great – from the history and industry of our cities to the beauty of our countryside.

This picture, taken on a day of sunshine and showers, was uploaded to the site by E&S reader Jason Goodlad, who runs Hawk Eye Vision. He used a drone to get a bird’s eye view of the canal at Bumblehole in Dudley.

He said: “It is a gorgeous image. I got the camera set up just in time to catch a narrowboat on its way to the Netherton tunnel.”

Star Witness uses Instagram to record images from the region.

Pictures submitted using the hashtag #expressandstar are uploaded every day.

That gives you the chance to share your images of the region, and builds a unique and special pictorial record of the Midlands, its scenery and its people as it moves through the seasons.
