Remembrance Day: Where parades across the Black Country and Staffordshire are taking place

Thousands of people across the Black Country and Staffordshire are set to fall silent this weekend to remember the sacrifice of brave service men and women who that gave their lives for our country.

Poignant services will be taking place across the region.

People of all ages are expected to don a poppy and pay tribute at their nearest war memorial to participate in special services of remembrance for those who lost their lives during major conflicts.

The variety of services taking place involve traditional parades, which will see rolling road closures in operation, whilst serving men and women and medal-adorned veterans make the sombre journey to ceremonial grounds.

This year, Remembrance Day falls on Sunday November 12, following Armistice Day today, and sees a packed calendar of events on offer for those looking to attend more than just the traditional remembrance day service.
