Words fail Morgan as his feet do the talking

Morgan Gibbs-White, 17, helped his team come back from being 2-0 behind in the tournament finale in India by scoring the crucial equaliser.

And the Stafford-born player's proud dad was there to see it - watching the game in his Wolves replica shirt.

Wolves Academy tweeted pictures of the pair embracing after the game, with the words: "We did it Dad!" They also messaged: 'Big congratulations. We're all proud of you. Enjoy the celebrations.'

Wolves' captain Danny Batth was among the first to pay tribute, with the post: 'Congratulations, brilliant achievement, well done.' Morgan replied: "Cheers big man."

Other photos tweeted by the Academy included a close-up of his World Cup winner's medal with the caption: 'And this is what it was all about'. There is also a picture of Wolves Academy manager Gareth Prosser with Morgan and his dad after the game.

The 17-year-old tweeted his delight hours after the match, writing: "SPEECHLESS!! Best U17 team in the world, boys did excellent two win from being 2-0 down vs Spain, happy to score, world champions baby."

He sent another message thanking everyone for 'all the kind messages and support.'

Fans joined in the congratulations with Phil Williams tweeting the message: "Now get back, the 1st team awaits."

The former Graham Balfour High School student made his first team debut, aged 16, as a substitute in the 2–0 win over Premier League side Stoke City in the FA Cup 3rd Round in January and made his first league appearance a month later against Wigan.
