Wolverhampton's Hogshead in running for top pub award
A Wolverhampton city centre pub is in the running to win a national award.
The Hogshead at the junction of Broad Street and Stafford Street is one of six finalists in the best beer bar/pub category in the John Smith's Great British Pub Awards run by the Morning Advertiser.
The winners will be announced on September 6 at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London.
Each finalist will receive a visit from a panel of judged.
This year there will also be award categories for the major pub companies.
The Star in Penkridge is a finalist in the Marston's award with Cock 'n; Bull in High Street, Stourbridge, contesting the Admiral award.
