Curtain up on Hello, Dolly! at Wolverhampton Grand Theatre
Hello, Wolverhampton! A brand new musical production has taken to the city's most famous stage.
Walsall Operatic Society has returned to The Grand Theatre on the back of it's critically acclaimed Sweeney Todd show in 2018 to bring Hello, Dolly! to Black Country audiences.
The cast debuted the show last night and transported crowds from Wolverhampton to New York.
The musical tells the story of Dolly Gallagher Levi travelling to Yonkers, New York as a matchmaker to find a match for "miserly" Horace Vandergelder.
It's based on the 1955 play The Matchmaker from Thornton Wilder, featuring music from Jerry Herman.
Dolly is played by Vicki Hardy, who is joined by Craig Smith as Horace, Adam Gregory as Cornelius Hackl, Alex Woolliscroft as Barnaby Tucker, Lizzie Buckingham as Irene Molloy, Hannah Bird as Minnie Fay, Eleanor Shepard as Ermengarde, Geoff Bird as Rudolph Reisenweber and Gill Westwood as Ernestina Money.
The rest of the cast is made up of local performers.
The show is now running until Saturday June 22 and more information can be found by visiting grandtheatre.co.uk.
