Annie is coming to Wolverhampton Grand next year.

The West End show tells the tale of a young girl in 1930s America, during The Great Depression, who is forced to live a life of misery at Miss Hannigan’s orphanage. Determined to find her real parents, her luck changes when she is chosen to spend Christmas at the residence of famous billionaire, Oliver Warbucks. But Miss Hannigan has other ideas and hatches a plan to spoil Annie’s search.

The musical features songs such as It’s the Hard Knock Life, Easy Street, I Don’t Need Anything But You and Tomorrow.

The cast is set to be announced soon.

Annie, featuring music by Charles Strouse, lyrics by Martin Charnin, is directed by Nikolai Foster with set and costume design by Colin Richmond, and choreography by Nick Winston.

It will run at Wolverhampton Grand Theatre from February 19 to 23.

Tickets, priced from £19.50, go on sale from May 1 at 11am.
