Debut in city for saxophonist Iain

A saxophonist and composer will be performing in Lichfield next month.

Iain Ballamy will make his Lichfield debut at the Cathedral Hotel on February 19.

He has worked with many cutting-edge figures on today’s contemporary jazz scene and has appeared in clubs worldwide and at many jazz festivals including Berlin, North Sea, Saarfelden, Montreux, Montreal, Vancouver and Florence.

A Lichfield Arts spokesman said: "This will be a rare chance to see one of the country’s leading jazz musicians, so close to home. At only £12 this will a great opportunity to see one of the country’s greatest jazz musicians, composers and improvisers and his fine band, so get a ticket, and treat yourself to a great evening of live music."
