Birmingham's The Verse releasing two singles

All Just Talk and Exit Way Out both come out on Friday, with the former Unsigned column stars building up anticipation among fans by teasing posts about them via their social media channels in the build up to the release.

Both tracks were recorded with Ryan Pinson at RML Studios, based at Newhampton Arts Centre on Dunkley Street in Wolverhampton, with frontman Jack Harrison describing him as "so easy to work with - he is great at what he does".

Harrison is from Penkridge, and the former Wolgarston High School pupil is "hyped" for the public to finally get to hear the new material.

"We have been gigging both All Just Talk and Exit Way Out for quite a while now," he added. "Many fans that come to our shows are very familiar with the tracks and have been asking for a studio recording of them for a while.

"We are so hyped for them to finally be released. We are really proud of these ones."

He says that fans might be surprised by the range of the two songs.

"The two tracks are very different. As our first major release we wanted to show the diversity of our sound and we feel these two tracks really do that. It’s been nice to play the tracks to close family and friends and hear them all have different opinions on which is there favourite. That, for us, shows they are going to appeal to a wide market.

"We hope so anyway."

The first of the two is a personal song for the band.

"All Just Talk is a personal favourite to play live. It’s one that we are confident will get the crowd bouncing and that’s what we thought about during the writing process for it.

"Lyrically it’s very significant to us as a band as it tells the story of our experience of starting out and dealing with people trying to tell us what we should be doing and what kind of music we should be writing. This track was a big 'we will do it our way' kind of thing.

"Exit Way Out is also really fun to play live for the opposite reason, for it slows down the show and is a time to stand and enjoy the music for what it is. It’s a perfect track to whack on during a long drive.

"We are buzzing to be releasing these tracks and hope everyone enjoys them."
