The Walsall superstar will be up against the likes of The 1975 and Ghetts in the Best Contemporary Song category.

Winners will be announced at a star-studded event at Grosvenor House in London on May 23.

Crispin Hunt, chairman of The Ivors Academy, said: “The works nominated for The Ivors 2019 are brilliantly diverse, and we’re delighted to see so many first-time nominees recognised.

“As the only peer-nominated music awards in the country, they are a fantastic reflection of the exciting emerging talent of British and Irish music creators today.

“Our congratulations to all nominated.”

Earlier this year, the former Aldridge School student won a BRIT Award for Best Female Solo Artist.

Handed the Brit by Nile Rodgers, Smith dedicated the honour to aspiring female artists.

Her win came just three years after she received the Critics Choice Award and has continued her meteoric rise.

The 21-year-old will also perform alongside the likes of The Killers, The Cure, Stormzy, Kylie Minogue, Janet Jackson, Miley Cyrus and more at this year's Glastonbury Festival at Worthy Farm from June 26 to 30.
