Download Festival 2019: Stone Temple Pilots, Clutch, Halestorm and more added to line-up

More than 40 bands have been added to the Download Festival line-up for 2019.

Halestorm, Clutch, Skid Row and Stone Temple Pilots are among the bands who have joined the line-up for Download Festival.

A total of 43 acts were added to the bill on Monday, including Beartooth, Fever 333, Coldrain and super group Deadland Ritual, which features former members of Black Sabbath, Guns N’ Roses and Apocalyptica.

They join headliners Slipknot, Tool and Def Leppard for the annual three-day rock extravaganza, which will be held at Donnington Park in June.

Kerrang! Radio have also launched a talent search for a chance to open the Avalanche Stage at the festival.

Closing on March 1, UK acts can upload their tracks online and have the Download team decide who would best fit the bill. The winner will be announced in April.
