Despite the England versus Belgium World Cup match being screened at venues across the region, music fans headed to the Black Country venue to see the Scottish quartet in action.

The Skids formed in 1977, and are best known for songs such as Circus Games, Working for the Yankee Dollar, The Saints are Coming, and Into the Valley.

Burning Cities, the group's fifth full-length studio album, was released earlier this year and produced by Killing Joke bassist Martin 'Youth' Glover.

The band were supported by Coventry quartet The Primitives, best known for hit singles such as Thru The Flowers, Stop Killing Me, and Crash.
