The 80s icons had been due to play Arena Birmingham on May 5.

But due to 'unforeseen health concerns and on doctor’s orders', the band will now play a show in the second city next year, say promoters.

They will now perform at the Genting Arena on February 12.

"Tears for Fears apologise to their fans and are extremely sorry for any inconvenience caused," says a statement from the band's PR team.

"They look forward to working on finishing material for their first new album in 14 years, with the hope of releasing it this autumn."
