Developing a portfolio of work that transcends the widely accepted genres of the UK music scene, Manchester’s latest prospect is developing her own sound, and it’s one that carries well.

Hailing from the north of England, but with roots spread across Portugal and Angola, IAMDDB brings a widely unique flavour to her craft, drawing in waves of new fans as she makes her every move.

With her first UK tour underway IAMDDB stopped off in Birmingham, at the city’s O2 Institute venue, to grace her Midlands fans with one hell of a show.

Stepping out on to the stage under a cloud of mystery, the young singer appeared to the sound of a rapturous applause from the packed out crowd.

Working within the confines of an intimate venue, and to an emphatic audience, IAMDDB connected with her Birmingham fans on an intimate level very rarely seen before. Engaging perfectly with her guests for the evening at every opportunity, she embraced and encouraged interaction from the crowd as she worked through her stellar setlist.

Performing to a sea of finely dressed fans all adorned in their best and boldest red coloured clothes, part of the love-themed tour night that was embraced by almost all in attendance, the 22 year old set the scene with a lively rendition of her track Back Again to start off the night, before playing through the rest of her infectious new mixtape.

As soon as her hand touched the mic stand, IAMDDB demonstrated why, at such a young age, she has already carved a lane all of her own - and is more than happy riding her own route all the way to the bank.

Having already demonstrated a ridiculously close connection with her fans, a walk out into the pit was on the cards for the Mancunian musician who continued to hand out imitation roses to her fans throughout the gig. One of those small gestures that more than probably built bridges with fans, new and old, that will likely now last a life time.

Working with Red Bull to put together an incredible show, IAMDDB’s Flight Mode Tour set the standard for the serendipitous blending of passionate performing and perpetual motion.

With little to no noticeable breaks between crowd interaction and straight cold performing, IAMDDB demonstrated her versatility and vibrant personality for all in attendance to enjoy.
