Four baby guinea pigs born at Dudley Zoo over Easter weekend

Staff at Dudley Zoo are celebrating after the birth of four baby guinea pigs over the Easter weekend.

Mum Ursula and dad Stitch welcome four tiny arrivals on Easter Sunday

The brown, black and white pups were born to mother Ursula and dad Stitch, around mid-morning on Sunday.

And the four youngsters have already been delighting visitors to Dudley Zoo, with their tiny squeals.

Kirsty Thornton, senior keeper, said: "We were thrilled to discover the babies particularly as it was Easter Day.

“Mum’s doing well and so are the babies who are already scuttling around their castle hideout.”

Visitors can see the four babies at the zoo's farm barn, which is open daily from 12pm.
