Lenny Henry almost unrecognisable after incredible weight loss - in pictures

Dudley's Lenny Henry was barely recognisable as he showed off his tremendous weight loss at the Queen's Young Leaders Awards.

The comedy icon, aged 59, has reportedly lost three stone after being told he was 'a little bit diabetic'.

Lenny told the nationals his diet has largely consisted of 'broccoli and not much else', combined with running.

He appeared at the Buckingham Palace reception yesterday for the event celebrating inspirational young people from around the world.

The finalists met a host of celebrities, including Lenny, David Beckham, presenter Ore Oduba and Olympic boxer Nicola Adams.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were also in attendance.

Speaking at the event, Lenny - who also went to the reception last year - said it had been 'an incredible and impressive day'.

"These are people who of their own volition decided to become Commonwealth leaders and get involved in issues like food scarcity, gender abuse and mental health issues - that's fantastic," he added.
