The work has renovated the outside and given the garden a makeover adding a children’s play area, planting and lighting and new furniture.

The revamp has also upgraded the sports area, which now boasts a new pool table and darts board, Sky and BT Sports and a high spec audiovisual system.

Mick says he wants to make The Farmers Boy “the hub of the community”.

As well as planning a host of activities from charity fundraisers to music nights, he will open the pub early for local groups and good causes in need of meeting space and wants to start up pool and darts teams.
