Burlesque show featuring RuPaul's Drag Race stars coming to Birmingham

A live show based on hit film Burlesque is coming to Birmingham with stars from RuPaul's Drag Race.

Leading Cher impersonator, Drag Race season four contestant and All Stars one winner Chad Michaels will take on the role of the music icon, while Drag Race season nine and All Stars Four queen Farrah Moan will star as Christina Aguilera.

The cabaret, drag and burlesque show will take you into the seats of the famous Burlesque club from the 2010 film that followed the story of Ali, a girl who leaves a troubled life behind to follow her dreams of becoming a singer in Los Angeles, who stumbles upon a once-majestic theatre led by ageing performer Tess.

Chad Michaels is an American drag performer and professional Cher impersonator. He was the runner-up of the fourth season of RuPaul's Drag Race and the winner of the first season of RuPaul's Drag Race: All Stars.

Cameron Clayton, better known by the stage name Farrah Moan, is an American drag queen, model, actor, make-up artist and internet personality best known for participating in the ninth season of the reality TV show RuPaul's Drag Race, placing eighth.

He later went on to star in All Stars Four, placing ninth in the series.

Burlesque comes to Birmingham Glee Club on May 1.
