Five Star Swing at Christmas will perform in Bromsgrove

Five Star Swing at Christmas is coming to Bromsgrove for a matinee special on December 4.

Hosted by the Artrix Arts Centre, the show features the London-based stars of BBC's Children In Need Five Star Swing and promises Christmas favourites given the dynamic big band treatment.

From Glenn Miller to Frank Sinatra, and Count Basie to Nat King Cole, they will be jazzing up those winter warmers.

Drummer David Waller, who is from Bromsgrove and tours with the band, said: “I’m excited to be bringing the big band version of all these classic Christmas songs back to my home town."

Also on the bill are Simone from the Ivy Benson Orchestra; Chris Smith Jnr - composer and arranger for the BBC Radio Big Band; and the Herb Miller Big Band fronted by Glenn’s brother.

Tickets are selling fast – the remainder are available from the box office on 01527 577330 or by clicking here.
