UK Games Expo - NEC, Birmingham

UK Games Expo

All aspects of tabletop gaming will be celebrated at this weekend's UK Games Expo.

Card games, board games, role-playing, miniature games and family games will be played across the three-day event.

Other activities include live tournaments, new game releases, demonstrations, guest speakers and trade stalls.

UK Games Expo takes place from June 1 to June 3.

British Strong Style - Diamond Banqueting House, Wolverhampton

Fight Club: PRO will bring their British Strong Style wrestling event to Wolverhampton on Friday.

The Shires

Country stars The Shires are set to bring their headline tour to Birmingham's Symphony Hall.

The show follows the release of their third full-length studio album, Accidentally on Purpose, last month.

Grease - Theatre Severn, Shrewsbury

Grease

Following a sell out production in 2015, Grease returns to Theatre Severn.

Produced by Get Your Wigle On, the show's run began on May 30 and will continue until June 2.

Based on the hit film of the same name starring Olivia Newton-John and John Travolta, the hit musical features iconic songs such as You're The One That I Want, Summer Nights, Hopelessly Devoted To You, There Are Worse Things I Could Do, Greased Lightnin' and many more.

Stomp - Birmingham Hippodrome

Get your bin lids ready - Stomp is in Birmingham.

Stomp takes familiar objects like newspapers, bins, plastic bags and even the kitchen sink and uses them to create a universal language of rhythm and movement.

The show began in 1991 in Brighton, and has since toured across the world.

Stomp also takes place at Birmingham Hippodrome on June 2.

84 Charing Cross Road - Wolverhampton Grand Theatre

84 Charing Cross Road

Helene Hanff's novel 84 Charing Cross Road is being brought to life at Wolverhampton's Grand Theatre.

Starring Stefanie Powers and Clive Francis, the show tells the true story of a vivacious New York writer and a London bookseller. T

Through their exchange of humorous and often intimate correspondence a snapshot of Britain from the post-war 1940’s to the swinging 60’s is revealed, alongside a touching human story.

Rock icons The Rolling Stones bring their No Filter tour to the Midlands, alongside support act The Specials.

Bill Bailey - Arena Birmingham

Bill Bailey

Comedy icon Bill Bailey will bring his new show to Birmingham this weekend.

The star, from Bath, is best known for his stand-up and songs, as well as his roles in Black Books, Never Mind The Buzzcocks and Hot Fuzz.

Enjoy Wolverhampton Live - Queen Square, Wolverhampton

Matt Cardle and Ocean Colour Scene singer Andy Bennett will play a free city centre show in Wolverhampton this Saturday.

The stars will be joined at the Enjoy Wolverhampton Live event - coming to Queen Square - by fellow music acts Owen Paul and Sweet Female Attitude featuring Leanne.

There will also be free family fun during the day - between midday and 3pm - with performances from CBeebies star Katy Ashworth, puppet shows from the winner of TV's The Slammer - Russ Brown, entertainment from Doctor Doolally and free facepainting.

Live music will take place on the evening between 6pm and 10pm.

Stars of TV and film will be coming to Film and Comic Con Birmingham Collectormania 25 this weekend in Birmingham.

This year’s event have announced Lethal Weapon legend Danny Glover, multiple World Darts Champion Phil ‘The Power’ Taylor, there can be only one Christopher Lambert from Highlander, horror legend Robert Englund, Freddy Krueger himself and many more from Game of Thrones, Doctor Who and Star Wars.

Visitors will be able to attend panels, autograph and photo opportunities, as well as browse hundreds of stalls.

ZooNation Master Class Programme - Birmingham Hippodrome

As part of B-Side Hip-Hope festival a series of two hour dance masterclasses will be held at Birmingham Hippodrome.

This workshop, taught by ZooNation dancer and choreographer Shaun Smith, will look at Breaking, including the key principles of the style, such as top rock, freezes and floorwork and how ZooNation incorporates these into their work.
