The famous Bull is transformed at Bullring and Grand Central

Bullring & Grand Central honoured England’s patron saint and marked the birthday of the most illustrious playwright, William Shakespeare, who would have turned the grand old age of 455 next week.

The centre’s iconic Bull statue has been transformed for the occasion, complete with signature neck ruff and a red cloak adorned with some of Shakespeare’s most recognisable quotes.

To lead the celebrations in true Shakespearian style, Bullring & Grand Central hosted an afternoon of entertainment and interactive activities for all the family, paying homage to our national Bard.

Acts have included impromptu Shakespeare, bringing love, tragedy and comedy to Rotunda Square with improvised Shakespearian scenes in traditional 1500’s dress.
