Walsall Leather Museum hopping mad for Easter fun

A museum in Walsall is gearing up for its busiest day of the year – its Easter Family Fun Day.

Walsall Leather Museum in Littleton Street hosts its free extravaganza on April 22 with a Punch and Judy show, face painting and more. There is also many more activities over the school break.

Assistant curator Francesca Cox said: “We have plenty of drop-in activities and workshops and a big family fun day planned for Easter Monday. On April 16 we have a drop-in session where people can make peacocks and on April 17 visitors can make giant 3D portraits called Big Heads.

“On April 22 we have out Easter Family Fun Day, full of entertainment such as Punch and Judy, entertainers, face painting, and it is free admission. There is lots to do and there will also be a pop-up cake and cuppa cafe so people can relax and have a drink and a bite to eat. There will be lots of demonstrations, it’s an event for all the family. On April 25 there will be a pottery workshop for children ages five to 12.

“We do these events every year over the Easter holidays and they are very popular, we usually have hundreds of visitors.”
