Thousands of country life enthusiasts will flock to the venue, in Weston-under-Lizard, on Saturday and Sunday.

Attractions in the line up this year include performances by The Knights of Middle England, Ye Olde Redtail Falconry, as well as music by the Coventry Corps of Drums, a traditional hound parade, the Folk Roots Festival on three stages.

Pursuit enthusiasts will enjoy the Prince Albert Angling Fishing Village, a working dog village, falconry village, the food festival and Beer in the Park among the gun stands and trade displays.

Nathan White, of show organisers Countryman Fairs, says: "We are 20 per cent up on last year for our pre-sales which is a very strong encouraging start.

"The forecast is for almost perfect game fair weather with no rain, a little overcast and dry. It's perfect conditions for a family day out."

The show includes the popular Festival of Shooting for those with sporting, hunting and farming interests. Experts will be on hand to give advice on shooting-related matters. Stands include Airgun Expo, Gamekeepers Row and Gunmakers Row.

Other attractions feature guest ex-SAS Soldier Bob Classrooms, ferret racing, gold panning, a pet dog show, inflatables and rural crafts.

Last year thousands flocked to the event at Weston Park on the Shropshire-Staffordshire border.

The fair, which offers free admission to under 16s, is among a series of five game fairs organised by Countryman Fairs.

Parking is free, there is a camp site and dogs are welcome in the grounds.

The online box office is now closed, but gate tickets cost £20 for adults.
