There will be 45 beers together with 18 ciders and perries alongside local wines and a craft gin bar at Kidderminster Town Hall.

It opens at 2pm and will run until 10pm tonight, 11am to 11pm tomorrow and 11am until 9pm - or when the beers run out - on Saturday.

There will be evening entertainment tomorrow and Saturday while hot and cold food and snacks will be available throughout.

Today an invited judging panel will also choose their favourite beer to be considered for the title of Champion Beer of Britain. The panel will feature Malcolm Boyden from BBC Hereford and Worcester.

To encourage sensible drinking and enable visitors to sample a wider range of beers, the festival will have a new shape of souvenir half-pint glass in a ‘goblet’ style also marked for thirds. This glass is sponsored by Kinver Brewery to celebrate its 15th anniversary. Traditional pint glasses will still be available on request.

Dave Collins, from Wyre Forest CAMRA said "Wyre Forest CAMRA wishes to express its grateful thanks to the sponsors that support this important event in the town’s calendar. This year’s sponsors include Kinver Brewery, theSwan Shopping Centre, Big Print Shop, Caunsall’s Anchor Inn, CMS Kidderminster and, of course, the town hall management team."

The festival’s chosen charity for 2019 is the Alzheimer’s Society.
