Combining timeless classics, rockabilly, gospel, country, bluegrass, and rock ‘n’ roll with Joe’s effervescent delivery and humorous reminiscences, this is a musical journey "not to be missed", a spokesperson said.

Joe’s band includes, among others, fiddle virtuoso Tom Leary; guitar and mandolin veteran Steve Simpson; bass player Andy Crowdy and stalwart band member, drummer, percussionist and singer Phil Capaldi.

You will be able to see them at Stafford's Gatehouse Theatre on October 20 and then at Wolverhampton's Grand Theatre on January 18, 2020.

Joe has now been at the forefront of professional music in this country since his first record release in 1959.

He has always maintained a presence and a reputation as a great musician whether it might have been rock ‘n’ roll, country, gospel or the reworking of vintage classics, material dating back as early as the 1930s.

Currently he is best known world-wide for his recording of I’ll See You In My Dreams as performed at the Royal Albert Hall to close The Concert For George in memory of his dear friend George Harrison.

Joe has been awarded an MBE for services to music and also the MOJO special Award for services to music and has been touring since those early days without a break.

The Stafford Gatehouse show starts at 7.30 pm and tickets are £35.
