The singers entertained those enjoying their cod and chips on Saturday as part of the Cradley Heath Art Festival.

They sang a selection of songs including ‘When I’m 64’ and ‘Daisy, Daisy’ at Ivan’s Fish and Chip Shop, in Reddal Hill Road, and Joe’s Place, in Cradley Road, last Saturday.

It was all part of this year’s Cradley Heath Art Festival – running until Saturday.

Lizzy Lee, secretary to Cradley Heath Creative which is organising the festival, said: “The performance was part of the Cradley Heath Art Festival, which we run every year to try and promote our local artists in Cradley.

“So as part of that we had the Cradley Male Voice Choir performing in two of our chip shops. The choir were also looking for new members too.

People enjoyed the show
The performance got a round of applause

“It was a really great event – people who were there really enjoyed it. I think the choir enjoyed it too as they have never done something like that before.

“We would love to do it again. It was quite funny to see people walking in to get their food and not expecting to see a choir performing!”
