Union J to switch on Merry Hill Christmas lights with The Vamps and Fleur East

Boy band Union J are the latest act to be added to the bill for the Christmas lights switch on at Merry Hill shopping centre next month.

The group will join Fleur East and The Vamps at the festive celebrations, shopping centre owners intu have revealed.

Union J rose to fame after they competed in the ninth series of The X Factor. They finished fourth and then signed to Sony Music subsidiary RCA Records.

They released their debut single Carry You in 2013 and their self-titled debut studio album in the same year, whcih peaked at number six on the UK Album Charts.

Union J left RCA Records in April 2014 and joined Epic Records, where they released their second album You Got It All.

The lights switch on takes place on November 18 from 8pm to 10pm.
