Cradley Heath Creative is staging its third community arts festival.

Called 'Grassroots II: The Artists Strike Back', this year the festival will expand to three sites – all within walking distance.

The main action will take place at The Hollybush Pub on Newtown Lane from 11am till 11pm on May 13 with performances and an exhibition.

During the day local artists will run arts and crafts workshops in pottery, sculpture and painting. Out on the street, festival goers will find Cradley Heath Creative's mobile arts centre, Oss Box, converted into a stage for musicians, singers, storytellers, with dancing in the street and craft stalls. The evening will feature an art auction and prizes by local artists for a raffle.

Fran Wilde, director, said: "We keep discovering artists and performers through our festival.

"Cradley Heath and the surrounding area always come up with creative talent. We are really excited to be highlighting arts venues that local people have opened on their own initiative.

"The festival is free and we want to attract visitors from all over to see what Cradley Heath is can be and do. Everyone is welcome."

Any artists, performers, film makers and crafts people wanting to take part, can contact Fran on 07952 563 725.
