Faye Hewitt, aged 27, and her friend Holly Loosmore, 28, from Sheffield, met when they worked as holiday reps in Ayia Napa and cabin crew in Dubai.

Tonight, the pair will appear on Channel 4 show Coach Trip on the Road to Marbs. They will join other fun-loving holidaymakers to take part in exhilarating activities, as well as check out the local nightlife.

The length of time Faye and Holly spend on the trip will depend on how popular they both are – with the pairs voting face to face to decide who they no longer wish to travel with at the end of each day.

Should they reach the end of the 30-day tour, they will win a luxury stay in sun-drenched Marbella.

Faye, who went to Perryfields High School and Stourbridge College, said: "If there's one show we wanted to do it would be Coach Trip for the travel and all the activities and the chance to do it as best friends rather than individuals.

"It was the best thing I've ever done in my life, we made some really good friends and we're still talking now.

"I'm not a sitter, I'm a doer. I like to be active, on my feet, getting involved with everything, busying about. Me and Holly have always said if we ever went on a TV show it would be Coach Trip and when the show got revamped with the prize being a trip to Marbella we had to do it."

Since returning from the trip, Faye has been doing television work behind the scenes. Their jobs have meant they never get to fully experience the places they are visiting, they hope the coach trip is going to change all that.

The show will start tonight with an episode on Channel 4.
