The art group from Wolverhampton Friendship Centre's annual exhibition was held at St Paul's Chapel in Pendeford last Thursday, Friday and Saturday, with an eclectic range of work on show.

Animals and other wildlife, expansive landscapes and other imaginative pieces were exhibited by artists of all abilities, with one artists in his 80s gaining critical acclaim.

Artist Christina Ryder said: "Reverend Jim Perry has been kind enough to let us exhibit our work at the chapel for the last four years.

"There was an eclectic mix of different art in different styles by people of all levels. Some work was painted by people who have been doing it for years, and some just by beginners.

"There were pictures of dogs and other animals, ones done with pen and ink and some that had multiple contributors. One picture has eight contributors, with people working in different styles so some is done in watercolour, some in pen and ink and so on.

"The reaction has been really good, there weren't quite so many people this time but they had lots of nice comments for us.

"Nice remarks were left in the guest book as well.

"One person who's only a beginner had a painting bought.

"I think our reputation is growing.

"We have a lot of fun an laughs in the class."
